Protect what makes the Hill Country unique - strong communities, great schools, clean water, and stunning views.

Merrie Fox is a fierce advocate of protecting the Texas Hill Country by championing policies that reflect the values and priorities of its communities. Strong public schools, local control over precious water resources, and the financial well-being of families are essential to preserving the region’s unique character and traditions. Merrie believes that when families thrive and communities have a voice in managing proposed development, the Hill Country will remain a vibrant and beautiful place for generations to come.

Priorities

Education

Public schools are the foundation of our communities, both economically and socially. I am committed to supporting strong, well-funded schools that empower students and strengthen our community.

Water

Protecting our water resources to ensure long-term availability is a complex issue that must be informed by landowners, science experts, and conservationists. Together, we can balance responsible resource management with the needs of our residents.

Development

Comal and Hays counties are among the fastest-growing in Texas, and this growth must be managed thoughtfully. I believe communities should have a voice in how growth impacts their way of life
